Smart Operations’ license is revoked by the Malta Gaming Authority.

Smart Activities has been suspended from conducting gaming operations, registering new players, or accepting new client deposits.

MGA noted that Smart Activities failed to meet financial commitments related to its operations and also failed to pay any monies owing to the regulator on schedule.

The Malta Gaming Authority said on Monday that, in accordance with particular requirements of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations, it has decided to revoke the authorization granted to Smart Operations Limited on May 31, 2021.

Smart Operations is no longer authorized to conduct gaming operations, register new players, or accept new customer deposits. However, Smart Operations is required to retain and provide access to all registered players’ player accounts, as well as to refund all funds to players’ credit in accordance with applicable law.

The MGA is imposing this fine because Smart activities violated specific provisions of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

“The Authorised Person has failed to meet financial commitments for its operations and has failed to pay the payments due to the authority in a timely way in connection with the license numbered MGA/B2C/233/2016,” the MGA stated in the breach regulations.

Smart Operations was licensed to offer casino games as well as fixed-odds betting, however the license did not include any domain names.
